Program on Europe

The Program addresses a variety of issues, including the European Union’s policies, Brexit, and the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. For millennia, Europe was at the center of the global stage, yet in the last century it has heavily declined.

Nevertheless, following Europe’s 20th century turmoil, there has been a successful process of democratization and liberalization, as well as the more recent reversion to distressing ideologies like nationalism throughout the continent. ASPS continues to try and better understand such a complex and multifaceted continent.
